Our founder, Dr. Joseph Toland, M.D., F.A.A.P., has more than 40 years of healthcare experience.
Dr. Toland attended medical school at the National University of Ireland and completed his residency at CHKD in Norfolk, Va. He currently rounds every morning at CHKD, Sentara Norfolk General, Sentara Leigh, Chesapeake General and Depaul Memorial. He is also the Medical Director for St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, and an Associate Professor for EVMS. Dr. Toland is dedicated to patient care and making sure patients don’t feel rushed or feel as though their questions go unanswered. He won the Patient’s Choice Award in 2014 and, most recently, won the Hometown Hero Award.
